FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: connector consists of receiving coupling for receiving connecting part of drilling string. There is at least one lock device with a locking element travelling between a release and locking positions whereat the locking element comes into a corresponding recess of the connecting part. A circular slot in form of a recess designed to interact with the locking element is made on the connecting part; while axial lugs are arranged on the internal side of the receiving coupling; the lugs enter the corresponding axial slots of the connecting part to facilitate rigid connection and mutual rotation. The drilling rig with a drill drive for the drilling string consists of the above described connector.
