FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly to manufacturing of large-size foundry goods. It can be used in atomic energy mechanical engineering at manufacturing of containers for transportation and long-term storage of spent fuel and other radioactive materials. High-duty cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 3.3-3.8; silicon 1.5-2.6; manganese 0.1-0.4; vanadium 0.02-0.06; niobium 0.02-0.05; magnesium 0.04-0.06; calcium 0.001-0.008; sulphur 0.005-0.01; phosphorus 0.005-0.01; iron - the rest. Total content of V+Nb not exceed 0.08 wt %, and total content of S+P not exceed 0.015 wt %.
EFFECT: obtaining cast iron, which allows reduced inclination to dendritic segregation and structural anisotropy, and high physical-mechanical, technological and operating characteristics.
