FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing structural steels used for using in atomic energy machine engineering in manufacturing the modern high-safety container technique for storing and transporting depleted nuclear fuel and radioactive waste. The claimed steel comprises components taken in the following ratio, wt.-%: carbon, 0.03-0.10; silicon, 0.3-0.7; manganese, 1.0-1.7; chrome, 0.05-0.25; nickel, 0.05-0.25; copper, 0.05-0.25; vanadium, 0.01-0.08; niobium, 0.005-0.05; aluminum, 0.01-0.06; calcium, 0.001-0.005; sulfur, 0.002-0.015; phosphorus, 0.003-0.015; iron, the balance. The total content of nickel and copper doesn't exceed 0.4%, and the total content of sulfur and phosphorus doesn't exceed 0.025%. Invention provides enhancing exploitation safety and ecological safety in using container assembly for transporting and prolonged storing depleted nuclear materials and radioactive waste of atomic power engineering.
EFFECT: improved, enhanced and valuable properties of steel.
