FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to neurosurgery, orthopaedics, neurology, vertebrology, and functional diagnostics. Anamnestic data and morbidity are specified. Stage coefficient of lumbar osteochondrosis (Kso) is calculated by formula Kso = I * T * N * Z, where I is an average digital intensity of pain syndrome in visually analogue scale, determined by the patient for the whole period of disease; T is a duration of pain syndrome in exacerbations in months; N is an average frequency of exacerbations per year with duration of disease less than 1 year being equal to number of exacerbations from the beginning of disease; Z is duration of disease in years, with duration of disease less than year being equal to 1. If the coefficient is less than 140, radiculopathy of lumbar osteochondrosis is observed, while the coefficient 140 and more shows radiculoencephalopathy.
EFFECT: invention allows determining form of lumbar osteochondrosis with further prediction of optimal time for the operative intervention in each individual case.
