FIELD: timber industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed machine tool comprises frame base supporting continuous transfer mechanism and sawing device with top and bottom rows of disk saws arranged across transfer mechanism lengthwise axis. Bottom-row saws are fitted on their rotary shafts, shifted laterally. Cutting planes of top-row saws are oriented along bottom-row saw cutting planes. Top row of disk saws consists of a number of blocks arranged successively long transfer mechanism lengthwise axis. Every aforesaid block incorporates two disk saws arranged in symmetry on both side relative to aforesaid lengthwise axis. Rotary shaft of every subsequent shaft is displaced in lengthwise direction relative to axis of previous shaft of every block through at least diametre of top-row disk saw. Every saw of subsequent block is displaced laterally on its rotary shaft relative to adjacent saw of previous block, spaced from bottom-row adjacent saws. Top-row first block saw rotary shaft is displaced, relative to adjacent rotary shaft, through, at least, (R+Rl), where R is bottom-row saw radius of rotation, Rl is that of bottom-row saws.
EFFECT: higher reliability.
