FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: piston sealing for internal combustion engine includes upper compression ring and lower compression ring, which are located in one and the same piston groove, between them there is an O-ring located at the bottom of piston groove. Between upper and lower compression rings there installed is an additional compression ring, the outer diametre of which is equal to outer diametres of upper and lower compression rings. Between internal vertical surface of the additional compression ring and external vertical surface of O-ring there is an expansion gap. Besides upper edge of the additional compression ring is located in the same plane as upper edge of O-ring is, and lower edge of the additional compression ring - in the same plane as lower edge of O-ring is.
EFFECT: increasing effective power and life time of engine, decreasing oil consumption, and increasing its environmental characteristics.
