FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: piston sealing includes the following, which is located in one and the same piston groove (3): step elastic split ring (4), under it there in-series installed is upper (6), intermediate (7) and lower (8) compression rings. At the bottom of piston groove (3) opposite intermediate ring there made is annular protrusion (9), thus forming expansion gap between surface of bore diametre of intermediate compression ring (7). On upper flange of piston groove (3) there is external annular rib (5). Step ring (4) is installed with a gap relative to cylinder (1) of engine, and its step is borne against internal surface of rib (5). The second version of sealing is described.
EFFECT: increasing engine life time, decreasing fuel and oil consumption, improving environmental characteristics of engine.
