FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: peristaltic pumping method includes cyclic suction and displacement of the medium in the pump by means of subsequent mechanical hose clamping and moving the clamped zone along the hose. Pumping operations are performed in balancing condition of some pressure forces of the medium on the hose by the response of parallel fixed support surfaces adjacent to the hose. Hose pump consists of cylindrical housing closed with end covers, rotor with pressure elements and arc-shaped hose. The hose is adjacent to the housing shell and parallel surface of the drum fitted freely on the rotor shaft, between which there are pressure rotor elements pressing the hose to the housing shell. Hose is made form elastic material in the form of arc-shaped tubular member, and its section is oblong-, flat- and oval-shaped.
EFFECT: providing operating steadiness and reliability.
