FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: hollow pump rod is made. Internal rod with limit stops is installed inside hollow pump rod. Internal rod is used with length that exceeds length of hollow pump rod. Hollow pump rod is pre-stretched together with installed internal rod until it achieves plastic deformation and interacts with limit stops of internal rod. Joint stretching of hollow pump rod and internal rod is provided within the limits of its elastic deformation. Hollow pump rod and internal rod are unloaded.

EFFECT: simultaneous and distributed perception of work load by hollow and internal rods of pump rod.
