FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly to ICE connecting rod gear. Piston comprises barrel with bottom and piston ring grooves, cooling chamber, heat carrier feed and discharge channels. Note here that piston barrel bottom features cooling (heating) chamber made by inner surfaces of piston skirt, inner wall, bosses and cover. Note that cover inner surface accommodates tubular electric heater and thermal relay connected by conductors, via electric switch, with positive and negative poles of DC power supply. Note here that electric conductors are arranged on top and bottom swinging rods. Top rod is articulated with piston cover and bottom rod coupled with cylinder block.

EFFECT: higher reliability of piston operation in engine various operating conditions, reduced oil consumption.
