DOWNHOLE HYDROELECTRIC STATION Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F03G7/04 F03B13/00

Abstract RU 2373431 C2

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: downhole electric power station can be used for production of electric power. Downhole hydroelectric station comprises hydraulic cylinder 16 and electric generator 17 ganged up to make downhole hydraulic unit. The latter and communication electric line of generator 17 with daylight surface are adapted for operation in holes. For example, hydraulic unit represents turbodrill and electric drill with their housing jointed together, and comprises retainer 18 interacting with thrust element. Downhole cable is used as communication electric line. Operation of aforesaid components allow their use in geophysical wells. For example, to lift from/lower in the hole, hydraulic unit is furnished with head 21 and remote-control winch, and logging winch for downhole cable.

EFFECT: higher specific power, higher efficiency and expanded performances.
