FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: coding device with correction of errors, where device design is simple; iterative decoding is used to achieve decoding with accuracy nearing optimal; and simple mathematical expression is used to assess characteristics of saturation zone area without application of any experiments on computer. In unit 1 of multinomial multiplication, units (12-1 - 12-(m-1)) of multinomial multiplication of (n-1)-th order additionally divide line of information bits, which was separated into units for coding with correction of errors, on (m-1) units, having length n, and one unit, having length (n-r) (where type represents integer numbers, equal or larger than two, and where r represents integer number from 1 to n inclusive); units are received, which have length n, divided lines of information bits; and series is derived, having the same length. Unit 2 for division of multinomials of r-th order accepts addition of outputs from according units (12-1 - 12-(m-1)) of multinomial multiplication of (n-1)-th order and also receives the unit having length (n-r), and derives series of excessive bits, having length r.
EFFECT: achievement of decoding with accuracy close to optimal, and simplification of mathematical expression for provision of saturation zone area characteristic.
