FIELD: multi-value noise-proof encoding. SUBSTANCE: transmitted information signal s are stored in encoder memory, which is implemented as shift register, along rows of matrix m*l which has control symbols for parity check of columns in its last row and symbols for parity check of rows in its last column. Symbols are sent in channel along matrix diagonal so that index of symbol has one-to-one correspondence with its row index i and its column index j as n = m[(j-i) mod l] +i. information is transmitted through channel by means of 2m different signals, which correspond to groups of m adjoined binary symbols. Decoder stores received signals in shift register and register is connected into ring by means of switch. Parity check of rows and columns is performed by means of units of adders. Results of these calculations are compared in comparison unit when different shifts of received sequence are performed in groups of m binary symbols. When results of comparison match these results are added to sequence of information symbols by means of matching unit and modulo-two adder. This results in error correction of this sequence.
