FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a range of improved products from biomass, particularly to biomass material which is obtained as a by-product of treating municipal solid wastes. The method includes stages where mixed biomass, obtained from municipal solid wastes, is fed into a separator, which operates at pressure lower than atmospheric pressure, moving the biomass from top to bottom in the separator, with pressure feeding a single air stream through the falling biomass to create a vortex from the rotating biomass inside the turbo chamber for centrifugal separation of selected more dense components of the biomass, with provision for continued movement of the latter to the outlet for collection, with repeated movement of the remaining biomass by the air stream to the second outlet for subsequent treatment or collection.
EFFECT: obtaining at least one high-quality material from biomass, which contains less inorganic and toxic contaminants and less hazardous emissions when burnt, less ash content, with retention of high calorific power.
