FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly to aircraft window frames and methods of their production. Proposed frame comprises outer flange, inner flange and vertical flange arranged between outer and inner flanges and perpendicular to them, and transparent part. Proposed frame is jointed to aircraft airframe via and along outer flange. Aforesaid transparent part is attached to inner flange held in place by vertical flange. Frame comprises several structural elements welded together and consisting of thermoplastic material reinforced by fibers. Method of producing proposed frame comprises fabricating workpiece including fabric tape and thermoplastic material and representing a quasi-isotropic sheet material, forming with deep drawing of aforesaid workpiece to produce several structural elements to be jointed together by thermoplastic welding.
EFFECT: reduced weight.
