FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lifting-and-conveying equipment, particularly to elevators with rack nuts. Elevator comprises one or several nuts made all along the building elevator shaft length consisting of racks with rollers with their axes perpendicular to rack axis, or ledges arranged along helical line, and screws jointed with elevator platforms furnished with support carriages with roller to come in contact with rack way guides. Aforesaid platforms accommodate elevator drives. Elevator nuts are arranged on two opposed arcs fastened on shaft wall supports. Platform opening ledges accommodate additional support carriages, the shaft supports being furnished with additional racks furnished with guides. Aforesaid racks have ledges furnished with ledge height adjusting gaskets. Elevator allows access and exit of passengers on floors, moving passengers and cargoes in and out of elevator rack nut by forming discontinuous sections in aforesaid nut.
EFFECT: easier operation of elevator.
