FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of butadiene rubber and can be used in the industry of synthetic rubber, tyre industry and industrial rubber goods. The method of producing butadiene rubber involves polymerisation of butadiene in the presence of a catalyst system based on organic salts of rare-earth elements, organoaluminium compounds, including dialkylaluminium chloride, alkylaluminium halogenide and conjugated diene. A stream of butadiene solution heated to between 20 and 70°C is mixed with the catalyst system and fed into the reaction zone, where polymerisation takes place at 50 to 90°C until 60 to 80% monomer conversion and polymerisation is completed at 80 to 120°C. Butadiene rubber consists of linear macromolecules and has the following fractions: 10 to 20% with molecular weight over 1000000,40 to 70% with molecular weight from 1000000 to 100000, 18 to 40% with molecular weight from 100000 to 30000, 0 to 5% with molecular weight less than 30000. The fraction with molecular weight over 1000000 contains at least 98% cis-1,4-branches.
EFFECT: obtained butadiene rubber gives rubber good physical and mechanical properties of fatigue endurance, resistance to cracking and cutting.
