FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil-and-gas industry and can be used for plugging water supply channels in conditions of highly porous, fractured and carvenous fractured reservoirs, including in low-temperature wells, eliminating loss zones and overflow channels in a cement stone behind a column. The waterproof composition contains, wt %: ethyl or methyl ether of ortho-silicic acid or their mixture 100, polar solvent 10 to 100, chloride of group IV-VIII metal 2 to 10 and additionally a pH regulator - sodium or potassium hydroxide - NaOH or KOH, or sodium carbonate - Na2CO3 0.03 to 1.0.
EFFECT: design of a waterproof composition with regulated, short setting time, capable of forming aqueous solutions, which solidify in the entire volume, industrially made.
