SUBSTANCE: invention relates to front bumper and reinforcing element (17) for lower zone (7) of front bumper (3) to protect pedestrian shin in car accidents. Reinforcing element (17) is jointed to lower zone (7) of front bumper (3), behind the latter and in direction (X). Said reinforcing element (17) has base plate (51) with reinforcing ribs (21) attached thereto to pass, in fact, in horizontal direction all along front bumper width. Thus, reinforcing element (17) represents separate plate (19) that can be built in lower zone (7). Front bumper (3) incorporates above described reinforcing element.
EFFECT: ease of manufacture, assembly and repair.
