FIELD: automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed bumper serves to protect pedestrian shins in accidents. Reinforcing element comprises base plate with reinforcing ribs jointed thereto, and passes horizontally along, approximately, front bumper width. Said reinforcing element rear end rests partially, in lengthwise direction "X", upon crosswise braces arranged under engine compartment. Aforesaid base plate has cross reinforcing ribs arranged along vehicle axis "X". Lengthwise ribs adjoin the abovementioned ribs at the front. Lengthwise ribs are arranged in parallel and oriented along "X" direction. Vehicle front bumper incorporates reinforcing element for lower zone of possible collision.

EFFECT: higher safety, ease of mounting and repair.
