FIELD: automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed steering trapezoid comprises controlled wheels fitted on swivel members pivoted onto the beam and interjointed via two rotary levers and hinges with split transverse tie rod, which allows varying its length, by power cylinder. Steering trapezoid comprises additionally two hydraulic control spool-type valves arranged in slot of transverse tie rod and consisting of casings linked up with one end of split tie rod, and slide valves licked with second end of split tie rod. Slide valves, on one side, thrust against aforesaid casings and, on the other side, they are spring loaded to be displaced by increase in forces originating during wheel turn and acting along transverse tie rod. There are spaces between slide valves and casings wherein pressure is generated to ensure required stiffness of steering drive in rectilinear motion of vehicle. Transverse split tie rod allows varying its length with the help of two power cylinders arranged in said slot and consisting of pistons articulated with one end of split tie rod, and casings articulated with the other end of split tie rod.
