FIELD: transport engineering; wheeled vehicle steering gears.
SUBSTANCE: proposed wheel module contains steerable wheels installed on steering knuckles. Steering knuckles are installed by means of kingpins on beam and are connected through two steering arms and hinges with split cross tie-rod, which, in its turn, is made for adjusting of length by connecting nut. Said connecting nut is mechanically coupled with piston of power hydraulic cylinder whose housing is fixed on split cross tie-rod for moving along its axis. Housing of power hydraulic cylinder is made in form of hermetically sealed cylinder I inner longitudinal slots of which two fixed spring-loaded blades are fitted in contact with outer surface of connecting nut placed inside and forming, together with spring-loaded blades, four working spaces of power cylinder. Wheel module is furnished additionally with wheel position pickups, vertical load and tire air pressure pickups and controller whose inputs are connected with corresponding pickups, and output, with distributor connecting power source (pump) with corresponding space inside power hydraulic cylinder by signal of controller.
EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities and reduced overall dimensions.
