FIELD: textile fabrics, paper.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of production of capillary-porous moisture-absorbing materials and products on the basis of mineral fibre, intended for operation mainly in medium of water vapours, hydrogen peroxide, organic and oil dissolvents at temperatures of up to 500°C. It may be used, in particular in vapour-water plasma torches, which use vapour of liquid working medium as plasma-forming medium. Method for production of capillary-porous moisture-absorbing material stipulates for application of hollow mould with perforated wall and filter. Internal cavity of mould is connected to system of vacuum suction and drain of liquid phase. Vacuumising is carried out from the side of mold internal cavity. Produced material of profiled part is additionally pressed. Then thermal treatment and mechanical processing of profiled part is carried out. Insert is made in the form of profiled part from capillary-porous moisture-absorbing material.

EFFECT: production of material, which is not flammable, does not release toxic substance when heated, has required mechanical and moisture strength, moisture permeability, low heat conductivity, does not lose its properties after multiple moistening and drying of used fibre up to limit temperatures.
