FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to locking devices intended for movable closing element, mainly for door, cover, lid or similar items available on domestic appliances such as dish-washing machines, washing machines, refrigerators or similar components. The device consists of a sliding piece, which is installed so that it can displace between opening and closing positions. The sliding piece is spring-loaded in the closing direction. There is a latch on the sliding piece to be brought into engagement with closing element when an element is closed and disengaged when it is opened. While closing, rotating cover may be interacted with closing element. As a result, rotating cover has impact on the sliding piece so that when closing element is locked, the sliding piece moves to closing position by spring effort.

EFFECT: advance design of locking device to reduce closing efforts.
