FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power machinery, particularly to cutting off turbines in emergency. Proposed turbine comprises compressor, turbine and combustion chamber wherein fuel is forced by fuel pump and which is cut off in the case of failure of the shaft that joints compressor with turbine. Gas turbine shaft supports current conductor representing a component of fuel pump current supply or control system. In case said current conductor is broken, no current is fed to fuel pump drive or to fuel pump control system to automatically cut off gas turbine. Invention covers also the method of turbine cut off in compliance with which turbine shaft integrity is controlled to interrupt electric power supply to fuel pump drive or control system, thus, to automatically, cut off gas turbine.
EFFECT: reliable and simple cut off in emergency.
