FIELD: physics; computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to entering information into electronic devices such as ATMs, electronic combination locks and other multiple user electromechanical systems and electric appliances. A keyboard is used to enter a code, where the keyboard has keys with displays and is made with possibility of outputting on the keys, characters which correspond to their functions, changing characters of the keys and their corresponding functions. The keys and their displays are connected to a unit for random distribution of characters and their corresponding functions on keys and in each key between front surfaces and displays there are optical channels. The length of the optical channel of a key, diametre of the circle around the image of the character of the key, as well as the maximum value of deviation of the axis of the optical channel of the key from the centre of the keyboard panel are made such that, they limit angle of view of images of the characters of the keys, hiding them from the eye of an outside observer. The code entered by the user can also not be seen by an outside observer on the position of the keys pressed on the keyboard panel owing to arbitrary variation of images of characters of keys in each next code entry.
EFFECT: increased privacy for entering a user identification code into electronic devices.
