LUMBAR BLOCKING TECHNIQUE FOR CELL CELIAC, MESENTERIC, RENAL AND INTERMESENTERIC JOINTS IN DOGS, CATS AND FUR ANIMALS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2377955 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary surgery. The method involves introduction of the anaesthetic solutions within localisation of elements of abdominal aortic joint, differing that the surgical approach to the vegetative centres is ensured by sticking in a needle in a horizontal plane in a cross point of two conditional lines: horizontal - a bottom edge of unit-layer palpated dorsal muscles of back and transverse costal processes of lumbar vertebras; and vertical - perpendicular to the first one at the level of spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra in quadrature to lateral surface and the longitudinal axis of vertebral column firmly to the body of the second lumbar vertebra or perpendicular to a lateral plane of vertebral bodies and at the angle 35-40 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the body in craniomedial direction firmly to caudal edge of the body of the first lumbar vertebra or at the angle 35-40 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the body in caudomedial direction firmly to the body of the third lumbar vertebra. Then 0.25% Novocaine is injected in amount 3-5 ml from each side of the animal's body. To ensure localisation of the solution around celiac and cranial mesenteric joints and caudal half of celiac nerves, the needle is stuck in at the angle 35-40 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the body in craniomedial direction firmly to caudal edge of the body of the first lumbar vertebra, and to localise the solution around renal and intermesenteric joints, the needle is stuck at the angle 35-40 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the body in caudomedial direction firmly to the body of the third lumbar vertebra.

EFFECT: method is safe regarding overdosing and injection injury, effective and accessible.
