FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine, namely, to reconstructive and restorative surgery in dogs and cats. Method for local combined intrapelvic anaesthesia in surgical interventions in the pelvic region in dogs and cats is based on finding the point of intrapelvic injection of local anaesthetic agents. In implementation of the method, topical anaesthesia of the gluteal muscle group is performed, an X-ray image of the pelvis is taken in a lateral projection, and the points of intersection of the lines passing along the lower edge of the vertebral column and perpendicular through the posterior edge of the proximal femoral epiphysis are determined. Anaesthesia of the ventral rami is performed by inserting a needle at an angle of 40° in dogs and 10° in cats cranially to the sagittal plane up to the internal iliac fossa.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves the accuracy and effectiveness of administering an anaesthetic agent.
