FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes dressing of blank surface after draught of ingot on blooming or slabber and yield of blank to roller conveyer for transferring to heating furnace of section mills. Reduction of investments for equipment for blanks treatment and productivity boosting is provided ensured by defects correction is implemented by melting of thin layer of surface of thickness 1.5-2.5 mm by emission of one or several optical-quantum generators of high energy density - lasers, installed over roller conveyer, with following blank canting for treatment of its whole surface.
EFFECT: invention is provided for increasing of yield and cost cutting of rolled metal.
