FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: polymer material is made form a composition which contains thermosetting plastic - polyurethane and carbon-containing additives in amount of 0.1-10% of the mass of the composition. The carbon-containing additive used is nanostructured material in form of technical diamond-bearing carbon, consisting of a carbon matrix and cube-formed detonation nanodiamonds with size of 20-200 nm, or fullerene-containing material in form of fullerene C60, a mixture of fullerenes C60 and C70, fullerene soot or fullerene black.
EFFECT: improved antiwear and antifriction properties, reduced energy loss during friction and wearing of components of friction assemblies made from such material, washed with water.
