FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: according to method electromechanical converter (3a - 3d) of node (1, 2, 3) of electromechanical oscillations of vibration level gage (46) is provided by electrical harmonic signal which frequency is beyond zone of resonant frequency of node (1, 2, 3) of electromechanical oscillations and thus it is incapable of excitation of oscillating part (1), such as for example oscillating rod probe or tuning-fork, so that electrical harmonic signal converts to mechanical oscillations without excitation of oscillating part (1). Afterwards converted mechanical oscillations will be recorded using at least one electromechanical converter (3e) of electromechanical oscillations node which performs reverse conversion of mechanical oscillations to electrical harmonic signal. Mentioned recorded electrical harmonic signals will be analysed afterwards in order to derive from them any gain-transfer characteristics of electromechanical converter (3) by means of comparison of at least one of characteristics of reverse converted electrical harmonic signal with characteristics of typical signal defined previously. Finally information about status will be modified subject to analysis of gain-transfer characteristics.

EFFECT: provision of self-diagnosis of vibration level gage.
