SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer graphics. Proposed are systems, methods and user interfaces for determining key frames on the attribute level and a combined object, in which a user can enter a mode where any change in attribute is recorded as an action for determining a key frame (for example creation or editing) at the current moment in time, as shown on a time axis. If a key frame is created in that mode, key frames of the level of surrounding objects are analysed to make sure that the functionally expected by users from key frames on the object level is supported. If a user explicitly creates an animation attribute which includes the attribute level key frame, then that animation range is supported while the user edits.
