SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine area, particularly to ophthalmology, and concerns preparations of soft contact lenses for prolonged carrying. The method of preparing the lenses is characterised by that at first lenses are put in partially fluorinated organic compounds, and then in fully fluorinated organic compounds. Fluoroorganic saturation of organic matrix of the soft contact lenses is consistent. At first water is displaced from the lens matrix with one of partially fluorinated organic compounds or their mixture, and then surplus partially fluorinated organic compound or their mixture is removed with completely fluorinated organic compound or their mixture. Water is displaced from the lens matrix until steam bubbling stops. The surplus partially fluorinated organic compound or their mixture are displaced from the lens matrix is ensured by heating the lenses in the medium of completely fluorinated organic compound or their mixture during 10-15 minutes.

EFFECT: invention provides improved service characteristics of the soft contact lenses, increase in oxygen-permeability, and resistance to corrosive mediums that ensures prolonged carrying thereof.
