FIELD: construction engineering.
SUBSTANCE: gate represents a metal pontoon with its ends supported by the concrete abutments that bound a navigable pass. On the pontoon, there is a pump mounted with pipes for supplying the outside water to the pontoon and pumping it out therefrom while controlling water level in a river. Outside of the navigable pass, there is a pier with a winding engine mounted thereon. During winter and flood ship passing, the pontoon is taken aside from the navigable pass towards the pier by 90-degree rotation enabled by winding engine, and after the flood, the pontoon rotates back by river flow to the navigable pass to control water level therein.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing metal consumption and maintenance costs.
