FIELD: physics; control.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument-making and can be used for controlling aircraft longitudinal motion. The aeroplane longitudinal motion control system comprises a sensor for angular velocity relative the pitch axis of the aeroplane, a gyrovertical, a modulus calculation unit, adder amplifiers, a unit for generating a given pitch angle value, an altitude sensor, an altitude selector, a unit for generating a given pitch angle value etc. The aeroplane longitudinal motion control system provides optimum values of transient processes of the aeroplane with respect to altitude in the entire operation range of variation of flight speed and altitude. Efficiency of the proposed system, realised in piloting-navigation system, was confirmed during flight tests of an aircraft target designed at open joint stock company OKB SOKOL.
