FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, cardiology. Three components of vector of spiral velocity of blood in common carotid arteries: longitudinal, rotary and radial. Radial velocity is measured by calculation of the relation of arterial radius gain to gain time at the moment of pulse-wave passage by formula:
where vr is a radial velocity of blood flow, Δr is a vessel radius gain, Δt is vessel radius gain time. Considering three vector components of velocity, total velocity of blood particles by spiral path is calculated by formula: where V is total velocity, vz is longitudinal velocity of blood flow, vθ is rotary velocity of blood flow, vr is radial velocity of blood flow.
EFFECT: method provides ultrasonic scanning in the colour duplex scanning mode and in the M-mode.
