FIELD: aircraft engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed protection device comprises sections (3 to 8) arranged successively along the duct of air intake (2) and consisting of a carcass with screen inserted therein to form, when refracted, the fragments of duct walls (13). Power drive and section rotation shafts are shared and represent a system of plates attached in cantilever to duct walls and bent by 90° towards ram airflow. Said plates are made from alloys that feature thermo mechanical memory effect and different temperature thresholds of operation increasing in direction of plate end bend. Plate rigid ends are connected, via buses (16, 17), to electric signal source.

EFFECT: reduced weight and overall sizes.
