FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed turbo-alternator comprises circular-drum rotor, fixed circular housing and two covers, i.e. inlet cover with inlet diffuser and outlet cover with centering ribs and cone fitted thereon. Rotor outer surface accommodates permanent magnet circular sections while its inner surface accommodates turbine work blades. Inner surface of fixed circular housing accommodates the stator circular electromagnetic sections operated together with rotor sections in electric power generation. Aforesaid circular drum houses diaphragms with turbine guide vanes rigidly attached, by central rod and circular housing, to inlet and outlet covers. Said diaphragms support also, fixed thrust element of whatever bearings (hydrodynamic, gasdynamic, electromagnetic etc.) and support fixed elements of said bearings. Support fixed elements of bearings accommodate bearing moving elements arranged thereon with a clearance and rigidly coupled, via split disks and blade rims of the first and last work stages, with aforesaid circular drum. Side surfaces of split disks and circular drum feature circular ledges furnished with circular thin-wall rubs and arranged inside circular grooves of aforesaid inlet and outlet covers to make seals required to separate media of different parametres and unload the rotor axially.
EFFECT: reduced weight and dimensions, higher reliability.
