FIELD: physics; communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transmission of information over wire links and can be used for lines with length of up to 3000 metres or over and is designed mainly for use in systems for collecting and processing information with a central station and remote peripheral terminals, including in security systems with their high requirements to communication channel reliability. The system comprises devices (1) and (2) connected by a communication line. Transformers (8) serve to galvanically isolate the devices from the communication line. Transmitted signals (TX) are encoded by an encoder (5). Frequency-response equalisation devices (12) restore amplitude and form of signals distorted by the communication line. The decoder (13) is made from a circuit using analogue filtering of decoded signals. The system is used in designing synchronous or asynchronous communication channels in systems for collecting and processing information between a central station and remote terminals. Power from the central device is supplied to the remote device over the communication channel. The length of the communication channel can reach 3000 m or over.

EFFECT: increased degree of suppressing a transmitted signal at the input of a receiver, restoration of form and amplitude of a signal distorted by a communication line.
