SUBSTANCE: strain of bacteria Brevibacillus laterosporus All-Russian collection of industrial microorganisms B-9844, is prepared by multistage selection from the natural strain recovered from soil. Destruction of plankton and biofilm forms of microscopic seaweed affected by strain Brevibacillus laterosporus All-Russian collection of industrial microorganisms B-9844 is accompanied by colour change, and further decolouration. In optical microscopy, destruction of microseaweed cells is observed. Algicide activity of the strain estimated by residual optical density (OD) shows that plankton forms of microscopic seaweed Nostoc, Anabaena and Microcystis belonging to blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) are most sensitive to the algicide action of the action. Fresh-water green algae Cosmarium and Chlorella, and also the microscopic seaweed Amphidinium, Prorocentrum, Thalassiosira found in sea water mainly require longer time of action of the strain All-Russian collection of industrial microorganisms B-9844 for complete cell lysis.
EFFECT: extended range of the strains with algicide action.
