SUBSTANCE: cast iron can be used in machinery building. Cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 3.0-3.4; silicon 0.2-0.3; manganese 0.2-0.3; aluminium 0.07-0.13; copper 0.2-0.3; scandium 0.07-0.13; niobium 0.2-0.3; cobalt 0.3-0.5; iron - the rest.
EFFECT: cast iron allows high strength.
