FIELD: weapons.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates weapons, particularly to cruise missile warfare. Proposed method comprises launching missile and controlling it in launching and mid-flight legs, searching and locking on target by missile self-guidance system and dropping warhead on trajectory final leg. Warhead is shot-fired on approaching surface ship. Torpedo is used as warhead. On trajectory final leg, missile starts jinking whereat flight mission is input into torpedo. Torpedo dropped, it approaches surface ship in compliance with flight mission and, after torpedo surfacing, surface ship is detected and locked on by torpedo self-guidance system. Surface ship is attacked so that missile hits ship surface hull, torpedo hits ship submerged part and warheads of missile and torpedo explode.

EFFECT: higher probability of hitting surface ship.
