SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of electric engineering, in particular to control and instrumentation equipment and may be used for assessment of electric insulation condition in electric machines and devices in process of their operation. Electrophysical characteristics of insulation are measured in dry and wet condition. Insulation quality is assessed by value of ratio between parametre value in wet condition to parametre value in dry condition.

EFFECT: simplified detection of insulation condition.
