FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: add-on latch for swinging doors comprises body, spring-loaded bolt, installed in body with the possibility of longitudinal displacement, and push button, having ability of impact at bolt. Body has two holes for button, and also fastening facilities for installation on door in the form of screws. Holes provide for fixation of button in two positions: I - "open", II - "closed". Bolt is arranged in the form of plank, having one narrower working end and openings of extended shape arranged along length. Self-drilling screws for fixation of body to door pass through openings. Bolt and button are spring-loaded by plate spring, one end of which is fixed on bolt, and another one is installed in internal cavity of button. Spring 9 provides for smooth (without slants) displacement of bolt in body of latch and guaranteed fixation of bolt in extreme positions I and II.

EFFECT: development of add-on latch for swinging doors, having reliable and simple design with high operational properties.
