FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: liquid acidic wastes are neutralised with dry burnt lime or limestone with simultaneous granulation of the obtained product and removal of water from the drum type apparatus with consumption of calcium oxide in amount which varies from the stoichiometrically required through a reaction for neutralising only sulphuric acid to the stoichiometrically required through a reaction for neutralising sulphuric acid and hydrofluoric acid. The obtained granules are then calcined at temperature above 200°C with distillation and trapping hydrogen fluoride. To obtain high-concentration hydrogen fluoride, the dried neutralised granules are calcined in a separate apparatus.
EFFECT: method enables conversion of a liquid product to a solid product which is easily dumped, with simultaneous recycling of a valuable component of the wastes - fluoride ions.
