FIELD: textile industry.
SUBSTANCE: three ribbons arranged one over another are produced and attached to each other by means of pile threads. Pile threads of thus produced triple ribbon are cut in the first cutting device between middle ribbon and the first ribbon. In the second cutting device pile threads are cut between middle ribbon and the second ribbon to produce middle ribbon in the form of double-sided velvet ribbon. Narrow loom comprises three streams arranged one over another with element for laying of filling thread and common shedding motion. The first splitting device for cutting of pile threads between middle ribbon and the first ribbon and the second cutting device for cutting of pile threads between middle ribbon and the second ribbon are arranged behind streams.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create velvet ribbon, having pile on both sides.
