SUBSTANCE: invention relates to external storage of data processed using a data processing device. The method for external data storage in a system which includes a primary data processing device which has a primary data storage device and a processor made with possibility of processing active records in the processor and configured to store data belonging to active records in the primary data storage device; and a secondary data storage system accessed by the primary data storage device involves steps on which data belonging to the records are loaded into the primary data storage device and exporting the records by transferring at least a portion of data belonging to the records to the secondary data storage system for storage. The step for exporting records comprises steps on which using an application program which uses data belonging to the records, calls are made to an interface made with possibility of transferring a portion of data to the secondary data storage system.
