SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of operating a mobile device, a mobile device and a long-term machine-readable medium. Method comprises steps of: executing a mobile payment application in a user domain of a mobile device, wherein the user domain comprises an operating environment in which mobile applications are executed and accessed by the user of the mobile device, importing a plurality of encryption keys for use with the mobile payment application in the mobile device system domain, wherein the system domain comprises a more secure operating environment controlled by the mobile device operating system, encrypting payment information of a mobile payment application in a system domain using one or more imported keys during execution of a mobile payment application in a user domain, and transmitting the encrypted payment information to the merchant.
EFFECT: high security of cryptographic keys stored on a mobile device and used during a transaction.
