FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to designs of regular packing intended for heat and mass exchanging processes in gas (vapour) - fluid system and can be implemented in rectification, absorption, scrubbing and dewatering natural gas for phase separation, and also in chemical, oil, gas and other branches of industry. Regular packing consists of corrugated sheets with openings, wherein crimps of neighbour sheets directed to opposite sides relative to each other. Openings of each sheet are made in each part of crimps projecting in one direction; distance between openings is equal to spacing of crimps. Parts of crimps projecting to the other direction are installed into the same openings of the neighbour sheet forming gaps between the edge of the openings and this part of the crimps. Such design facilitates simultaneous forming channels of zigzag shape and channels of "diffuser-confusor" type connected between them along section of packing.
EFFECT: invention facilitates efficient operation of packing at simultaneous simplification of design due to improved re-distribution of gas and fluid flows along cross section of packing, also due to increased turbulisation of flows inside layer of packing and to reduced carry-over of liquid phase together with gas phase.
