FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: propeller includes drive, driven and intermediate drive assemblies with pulleys, and parallel closed chains. On each link of chains there are arc-shaped guides which allow the chains to be bent only to one side along the pulley periphery. Blades fixed on chains are U-shaped and tightly welded. Propeller is attached to ship's board so that longitudinal axes of drive assemblies are perpendicular to ship's longitudinal axis.
EFFECT: increasing ship's speed and reducing power consumption of the main engine.
